CHAPTER 15

Hakuren came out from his house when he heard the bell rang. He was shocked when he saw Yuuri and Hakkai, standing in front of the gate. “What do you want?” Hakuren asked coldly while hanging his head low. “What happen to Uki?” Yuuri asked. Hakuren was pissed off. “Why did you ask me for?! I’m not her father or her brother! Ask her yourself!” Hakuren scolded angrily. His eyes became watery. “Then why are you crying?” Yuuri asked. “I’m not! It’s just that….” Hakuren was very stressed. He sighed and covered his eyes. “I’m sorry. I’m not in a good mood right now. You two should go home. I don’t want to start a fight with you two.” said Hakuren. Yuuri looked at Hakuren gloomily. “Understood.” said Hakkai and bowed. Hakuren went into the house quickly. Yuuri sighed. “Yuuri, why won’t you let Uki marry Seichi?” Hakkai asked curiously. “You’ll find out soon.” said Yuuri while trying to smile. Hakkai nodded. “As you wish.” said Hakkai. He walked towards Yuuri and gave her his hand. Yuuri looked at him curiously. “Let’s go home.” said Hakkai while smiling. Yuuri nodded and took his hand. They bothe went home together.

Hazuki came to school that day. Sanzo, Hakkai, Gojyo and Goku tried to ask her what happened but she kept on avoiding them. She even ignored Yuuri and Yui. She only spent time with Seichi and Sakura. Sanzo, Hakkai, Yui, Goku , Gojyo and Yuuri was sitting near the window behind the class. Yuuri was very pissed off. “I’m really tired of this game.” said Yuuri angrily while glaring at Hazuki, Seichi and Sakura. “What’s your plan?” Gojyo asked curiously. “I’m not sure yet. It’s really such a pain that she kept ignoring us.” said Yuuri. Hakuren approached them while smiling gloomily. “So she ignored you guys too, huh? Oh well… why should we be friends with a snobbish girl like her.” said Hakuren, trying to cheer up his friends. Yuuri looked at Hakuren gloomily. “She really changed a lot.” said Yui gloomily. “Let’s not talk about thins any more. It’s really such a drag.” said Sanzo. They all agreed. They opened their books and started to study together.

Yui and Yuuri were walking home together. Suddenly, they saw Hazuki, walking alone. The girls called her but she ignored them. The girls ran towards Hazuki quickly. Yuuri held Hazuki’s hand tightly. Hazuki looked at the girls angrily. “What do you want?! Let go of my hand!” said Hazuki angrily. “Not until you tell me the whole story. I know that you agreed to marry Seichi.” said Yuuri. Hazuki parried her hand really hard. “What I do, did or done is none of your business!” Hazuki shouted angrily. “Of course it is! We’re your best friend!” Yui shouted back angrily. “Fine! I’ll tell you! I do it because of my father! I don’t want him to get sick again! Happy?!” Hazuki scolded angrily. Yui and Yuuri became speechless. “If you excuse me! I don’t have time for people who called themselves ‘best friends’! So scram!” Hazuki shouted angrily and left the girls. Yui and Yuuri were really hurt. “Fine! I will!” said Yui angrily. She ran away. Yuuri only stood there quietly.

Yui was walking alone gloomily. “Yui?” Yui was dumbfounded and wiped her tears. She turned around and saw Goku and the others. The boys approached her quickly.  Yui tried to smile but it was no use. “What’s wrong, Yui?” Gojyo asked anxiously. Yui told them everything. “That’s nonsense!” said Hakkai. “I can accept that her father will be sick if she runs away from home. But not marrying Seichi? It’s not logic at all!” said Sanzo angrily. Hakuren only hung his head low gloomily.

That morning, Yuuri was only day-dreaming at her seat. “Attention, everyone!” said Sakura. All of the students looked at Sakura, Seichi and Hazuki as they were standing in front of the class. “Uki and I will be engaged this Saturday at her house. All of you are invited! Please, do come!” Seichi announced while holding Hazuki’s hand happily. Hakuren hung his head low gloomily. “Especially you, Miss Sohma.” said Seichi while grinning. Yuuri glared at them angrily. Hazuki started to feel guilty. “Tsk… whatever.” said Yuuri angrily. “See, Miss Tomoyuki. She really doesn’t care about you at all. They are not your friends and not worthy enough to be one.” Seichi whispered to Hazuki. Hazuki hung her head low while bit her lower lip. Yuuri stood up. She went towards Hakuren and pulled his arm. All of the students looked at her curiously. “Sorry, but I need to borrow this idiot for a while.” said Yuuri. She dragged Hakuren to the rooftop.

“So, why are we here?” Hakuren asked curiously. He tried to act like nothing happen. “I want you to tell me the truth from your own words.” said Yuuri. Hakuren hung his head low. “What do you mean?” Hakurean asked. “Ren, I know that you don’t want to see them get engaged.” said Yuuri with sodt and soothing voice. “What else you want me to do? She’s the one who wanted to marry him.” said Hakuren as he looked away gloomily. “Don’t you want to stop them?” Yuuri asked. Hakuren became speechless. Yuuri sighed. “Why won’t you two just be honest with your feelings? Why even bother deny it.” said Yuuri. She took out her hand phone. “Wha… What are you doing?” Hakuren startled. Yuuri showed it to Hakuren. He could hear Yuuri’s and Hazuki’s voice. “I really miss you,Ren! Please come back! I’m really sorry!” Hakuren was dumbfounded. His eyes became watery. He covered his eyes. “I’ll ask you one last time… do you really want to see her suffer by marrying that guy?” Yuuri asked as she kept her phone in her pocket. “No! I don’t!” said Hakuren. A drop of tears run down his cheek. Yuuri smiled. “But what should we do?” Hakuren asked gloomily. “Just leave it to me.” said Yuuri while winking at him. Hakuren nodded and smiled happily. He knew that Yuuri always had a plan. “Now than…” Yuuri took out a calculater. Hakuren looked at her curiously. “… let’s talk price.” said Yuuri while calculating. Hakuren had a heavy sweat when Yuuri showed him the calculator. “You owed me ten thousand dollar. So, do you want to pay it by check or cash?” Yuuri asked while grinning. “What?!” Hakuren panicked. Yuuri kept the calculator. “I was just joking.” said Yuuri. “It’s not funny!” Hakuren scolded angrily. They both kept quarrelling.

Hakuren sent Yuuri home. As they reached Yuuri’s house, Hiro and Kisa ran towards Yuuri and hugged her tightly. “Did you two have fun at school?” Yuuri asked while smiling. “Yes, we did!” the twins answered happily. “Are they your siblings?” Hakuren asked curiously. “Yup!” said Yuuri while smiling. The twins looked at Hakuren curiously. “Hey, are you Yuuri’s boyfriend?” the twins asked curiously. “Of course not! He’s my friend!” Yuuri scolded. The twins looked at Yuuri while grinning. “That’s good! At least Hattori still got some chance!” said the twins happily. Yuuri blushed and knocked both of their heads. The twins moaned painfully. “You know, you shouldn’t show violence nest in front little kids.” said Hakuren with a heavy sweat. "We use to it. That’s why we love her!” said the twins happily as they snuggled in Yuuri’s arms. “By the way, Ren?” Hakuren looked at Yuuri curiously. “I need a favour.” said Yuuri. They both went into the house.

Finally, the day that the Tomoyuki’s family and the Suichi’s family waited for had come. In Hazuki’s room, Hazuki was getting ready. She wore a beautiful green kimono with a red rose on her head. Hazuki looked at herself in the mirror gloomily. Byakuya and Hakuren came into the room. She looked at them with a surprise. “You look beautiful, Uki.” said Hakuren while smiling. “You’re already grown up now.” said Byakuya while smiling. Hazuki only kept quiet. Byakuya walked towards her and held her shoulders. “Uki, you still can cancel this wedding.” said Byakuya gloomily. Hazuki shook her head. “No… I don’t want mother to get ill again.” said Hazuki. She went to her bed and sat on it. Byakuya and Hakuren only looked at her gloomily.
